Basic Brewing Instructions

  • Add 1 large teaspoon to 500ml of boiling water, allow to brew for 10-15 minutes.
  • Drink tea hot or set aside to chill.
  • The tea leaves can be re-brewed up to 3 times.

Native Lemongrass is an aromatic plant found growing amongst rocky creeks in South Australia.

The medicinal properties of Native Lemongrass have been traditionally used by Indigenous Australians to treat skin sores and relieve chest infections.

The anti-inflammatory properties help to treat muscle cramps, and joint and muscle pain.

Containing a compound called eugenol, Native Lemongrass is particularly unique as ongoing research at Griffiths University has found that it acts as a natural aspirin.

Infusing the leaves in hot water will make a wonderful tea with a calming effect on digestion.
