About the Artist

Kamara Morgan is a proud Yorta-Yorta, Gunai-Kurnai and Dja Dja Wurrung woman from

Yorta-Yorta Country. She is a contemporary Aboriginal artist and mother of three.

Her work tells the story of a life with deep familial and cultural roots, drawing inspiration from the natural landscapes and waterways of her grandmother’s country, childhood bush excursions with her father and painting sessions with her uncles. This painting, Storytelling on Woka, reflects on the experience of people coming together on Woka Country and gathering around the campsites to storytell.
