Perfect for the colder weather, indulge in this warm bowl of porridge fortified with Kakadu Plum & warm spices.
Serves 1
Ingredients:
1 small banana, sliced
1 tbsp vegan butter or oil
1 cup rolled oats
½ cup water
½ cup milk
½ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg
1 pinch sea salt
2 tbsp yoghurt
1 tbsp honey
½ tsp sesame oil
1 tsp sesame seeds
¼ tsp Kakadu Plum
Method:
- Caramelise the bananas in vegan butter or oil in a small pan over low-medium heat, toasting them a few minutes on each side. Set aside.
- In a small pot over low heat, add the rolled oats, water & milk as well as the spices & sea salt. Cook for about 5 minutes or until the oats have absorbed most of the liquid. Add more milk if needed.
- Pour the porridge into a bowl and arrange the toppings as desired.
