The last year has been stressful, unpredictable and anxiety-inducing for many people. There’s a complicated, unhealthy relationship between anxiety and sleep. Lack of sleep can increase your feelings of anxiety and stress, while anxiety and stress in turn can prevent you from getting to sleep and staying asleep.
If you’re a bad sleeper, you may find yourself either tossing and turning, unable to actually fall asleep, or waking up constantly throughout the night. You’ve probably tried everything from counting sheep to over-the-counter medication and still can’t find the right remedy to help you sleep.
Roogenic was invited to participate in a summit hosted by Queensland University, where we discussed ways to improve wild harvesting practices in Australia. This is an essential step towards improving the lives and ecosystem of Indigenous communities that depend on wild harvesting to survive.
